Issue Summary
When we import projects from Jira Data Center or Jira Cloud to Jira Cloud using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, the ranks of issues get duplicated, causing all sorts of problems.
One symptom of duplicated ranks is that issues cannot be ranked in the boards. The operation fails with an error:
There might be all other sorts of issues due to this, not only this one.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an new Jira Data Center server or a Jira Cloud site with a project and some issues
- Install JCMA
- Create an empty Jira Cloud instance as destination
- Migrate the project to destination Jira Cloud site using JCMA
Expected Results
The projects are imported and ranks are not duplicated. Lexorank checks should be pass, as before importing:
Actual Results
Lexoranks are duplicate. Lexorank integrity checks show the error:
Notes
Upon testing, we could replicate in a Jira Data Center -> Jira Cloud AND in a Jira Cloud -> Jira Cloud migration.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available. If you need assistance, please contact Atlassian Support.
