Just wanted to let you know that we're actively working on adding Epics and Versions support for Kanban Backlog in JIRA Server. We plan to make it available in the next JIRA Server release.

      Thanks,

As an user I want to use Epics on Kanban Board

      COS

      • Add/Edit/Delete Epics shipped with JSW-6175
      • Assign issues (stories, bugs etc) to Epics shipped with JSW-6175
      • Visualize & Track Epic Progress
      • Epic Reports

This user story might be an Epic in fact

            [JSWSERVER-7052] EPIC: Kanban Epics Support

Keith, how do you set the correct colour? I am trying to do that, but can't find out where to do it. I am using the cloud version, so if you are using the server version, it may be quite different, I know, but I'm hoping you've cracked the nut on my issue.

Beware when in kanban, if you transition a story to an epic ticket type, then the epic label colour will be grey. Creating it as an epic straight off, adds the correct colour.

Is this available on cloud? I see Versions using KanBan but I do not have an Epics Filter. Will create a quick filter for now, but not ideal.

I am loving the new Kanban epic support. One thing I am missing (or have yet to discover how to do), is the ability to perform the "link epic" action from the kanban board.  Of course, one edit the ticket and do it there, but it would be nice if all the actions that could be performed from the edit ticket screen could be accessed in the quick operations dialogue too.

A nice-to-have would be support for dragging tickets between swim-lanes as a mechanism to achieve this (=change epic, change assignee, ...).

@Mathieu Van Belle, maak dan een ticket aan voor cloud

Would like to see that in Jira Cloud too!

Just like available on the backlog view already.
