I'd like to be able to add a quick filter which displays a drop-down for all possible values for a field. For example, I'd like to add a filter based upon Epic/Theme or Fix Version - the latter would work just like the Fix Version filter on the task board.

This is similar to the request to be able to create swimlanes based upon all the possible values for a field (GHS-4669)

          Form Name

[JSWSERVER-4735] Quick filters which displays a drop-down for each value for a field

This is discussing functionality of the product (and the lack of development).  It is not an opportunity to sell add-ons which is completely inappropriate IMO.  I suspect the majority of 'power users' who bother to use forums are bound by IT Department Policies and Budgets, and so adding a product is not an option.

I have decided to do as another unfortunate Jira user has suggested ...unfollow this case as there is nothing to indicate Atlassian will implement changes, so following just produces spam in my in-box.

Since 2016, there is a fully working solution that covers all requirements mentioned here - [Agile Tools & Filters|https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215334/agile-tools-filters-for-jira-software?tab=overview&hosting=server].

Unfortunately the company for which I work has chosen to move from ALM to Jira ... Atlassian ignore cloud development too (I have needed features I see documented for Jira Server, and the disparity between Company and Team Managed features is frustrating),  I wonder how much will be lost in productivity vs (what I can only guess to be) the license cost.  Not only features, but the slow performance of cloud is ridiculous.

What an absolute waste of time this issue is if Atlassian haven't stuck to the "We'll review in 12 months".

2018 is when that post was made. FIVE YEARS AGO.

This is a simple feature. Atlassian will say to you: "Cloud has this feature" when clearly, larger businesses do not care about that.

Not implementing feature parity between Jira DC and Cloud is a sure fire way of losing customers.

We switched to Linear about a year ago, and that was the best decision ever for me as a project manager and all developers. Jira must be one of the most slowly products to adapt to customer feedback.

Any further consideration?... we're now in 2023 and no update here.

This feature is readily available in zenhub and makes the kanban board incredibly powerful for querying tickets.

I'm extremely surprised that Jira is so far behind on this. If it isn't done this'll always be a reason to push moving to a tool like zenhub instead.

Is anybody consolidating the requests?  Adding JSWCLOUD-4735 will bring the votes Over 1000.

Surely this is a must have feature (which was requested YEARS ago)?

Please guys! it is not possible that you don't have this functionality in Jira boards!! how do you do to manage a lot of requirements without having to create a new board everytime you need to filter by some field? it is unthinkble to create a quick filter for each value and consume a lot of effort. It is horrible for your eyes too.

+1. As I'm sure you are aware, quick filters become quite unwiedly if you have to specify each value as it's own filter. Good for a couple things, bad when there are a dozen options. Multiply that by 5 or 6 different fields you want to filter on and it's absolute mayhem.

I would also suggest that an update is warranted as there are 600 upvotes, this story was logged 8yrs ago, but it's been 2.5yrs since you last updated us. Thanks much

Please add it now, you included a dropdown FIlter within the  Roadmap

Just gain a quick win and add it like this to the agile boards, perhaps add a Dropdown for project / component / assignee / reporter

I really expected this to be possible. I started searching for how I could do it and found comments from 2012 that it was not possible and thought it must have been solved by now. It's definitely needed!

A drop-down control is present since Windows 3.1 and even in Text-based GUI's at 80's. I myself implemented someone when I was a young developer.

I cannot imagine what is the difficulty on implementing it for a company as Atlassian with far talented people in his staff

Do it as Google and let some developers to use a % of their time to make happy to millions of users around the world !!!

             Please!

Softwares always need to be updated from time to time so that the customers remain satisfied and they keep buying the software. You can easily get proofreading services UK to write your task easily. I have reviewed the software and I think the changes will be great.

I could really use the ability to  filter my Jira board by assignee. I use the "Only My Issues" quick filter frequently, but I'd like to be able to do that for all of my team members without making a quick filter for each person.

We would love to have a quick filter drop down on the Jira Kan-ban/ Scrum boards where we can separate based off Epics / Features / Labels I know that next gen has the Epic Quick Filter, but for Classic View it would be Extremely useful.
