This is actually a must have for a software as JIRA that I am able to select a color from a panel for my epics (used as work packages). I shouldn't change ghx-label-1 to ghx-label-4 to get a different color, I want to have a selection of a few where i just click and in the background the label is changed. But from a customer's point of view I want to have a smooth and easy handling.

[JSWSERVER-15793] add a color panel to choose epic colors

            hi @Ignat Alexeyenko,

do you have any news on this topic?

Jira is a system for complex systems and offer an easy to use and manage system. this is true to most parts except the epic color selection.

More than 9 epics = we need more than 9 colors please

this feature will definitely help solving many internal arguments and confusion.

One more vote, my team has more than 9 epics - pls provide a color palette for choosing epic colors! Thank you!

And yet another vote for this. How difficult can it be for this product to recognize more colors? Switch to HEX system and be done please.

One more vote for this feature! Sometimes I have a couple of epics with the exact same (or very similar) colors in development at the same time and at that point the value of the color coding is lost entirely.

I agree with @jflack . We should be able to edit the Epic's color (using shiny color picker as per issue description) on the same screen(s) as any other field for the epic. Having to go to the backlog, open the epic panel (which may not already be enabled depending on your board settings) and adjust it there seems an arbitrary and useless limitation.
