This is actually a must have for a software as JIRA that I am able to select a color from a panel for my epics (used as work packages). I shouldn't change ghx-label-1 to ghx-label-4 to get a different color, I want to have a selection of a few where i just click and in the background the label is changed. But from a customer's point of view I want to have a smooth and easy handling.

[JRACLOUD-59765] add a color panel to choose epic colors

I think this is done. Yes?

Atlassian support was kind enough to work with me to add the "JiraEpic_ghx-label_Codes.png" attachment to this ticket.

It's your "secret decoder ring" for the "ghx-label-xx" values that are used for the Epic Color in the Bulk Change screen. Here is the same data, in a copy/paste friendly format:

            Color Dark Code Light Code
            Green ghx-label-13 ghx-label-6
            Teal ghx-label-5 ghx-label-11
            Blue ghx-label-4 ghx-label-10
            Purple ghx-label-8 ghx-label-7
            Red ghx-label-14 ghx-label-9
            Yellow ghx-label-2 ghx-label-3
            Grey ghx-label-1 ghx-label-12

Note that "dark yellow" actually looks Orange (doesn't fit nicely into this table).

Yes, please! Or at least allow hex values or something. The current system, with obfuscated aliases that have no user meaning, is bafflingly hard to use. I don't generally need to customize epic colors, but when we have several that inherited the same color, it's useful to change. But for crying out loud, I have no idea what "ghx-label-x" maps to, and I'm not really sure how that was ever considered useful.

I second this, we have a lot of epics and not being able to pick distinctive colors makes it a lot harder to tell them apart and keep them all separate. Please add a color picker for epics

I would like to be able to match my colors on Epics on my JIRA board to the same colors on the Roadmap planner macro used in Confluence. Combining this ability to set colors and this feature request: CONFCLOUD-36777 would really help us be able to drill down into the details of the work going into fulfilling our roadmap plans.
