Sprint suggestions on sprint field provides confusing options

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      On Jira 6.1.1 with Jira Agile 6.3.11.0, we have noticed that the suggestions in the drop down show sprints from other boards (which is fine) but do so in a way which is often confusing. We will often see for example the same sprint name twice, both with Active Sprint in brackets afterwards but no indication of which board the sprint belongs to. Whilst this does not happen for every option (some do show the board) not everyone does.

            The ability to restrict the sprints shown in the 'Sprint Field' was made available in Jira 8.11.0 release.

            Additionally, we added Board name in the brackets alongside Sprint name, regardless of whether You turn this feature on.

            Please please fix this issue. It causes a lot of confusion and mis-assignment to the wrong Sprint.

            Yeah, our team also needs a fix on this one. Creating a lot of confusion while closing and staring sprints. All the report stats are getting disturbed.
