Control and Cumulative Flow Diagram Charts do not work when you have "-" in the date format

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Configure your Look and Feel to separate the date with "-";
        • i.e: yyyy-MM-dd
      2. Replicate this configuration in the Advanced Configuration (inside the General Configuration menu);
      3. Browse to one Agile board and click on the "Reports" tab;
      4. Choose either "Control" or "Cumulative Flow Diagram" chart;
      5. Click In the date field (in the upper left corner), and then choose "Custom";
      6. Try to modify the date there;
      7. You will receive the error "From date required";

      Current behaviour

      You are unable to use the "Custom" option from these charts while using this date format because of the "-".

      Expected behaviour

      Since that using "-" in the date format is supported, we should guarantee that these charts work with this date type as well;

      Workaround

      Use a different date type or if you want to continue on using this date format, just switch from "-" to "/" between the dates.

      i.e: From yyyy-MM-dd to yyyy/MM/dd

            Hi,

            I think this is an important aspect, since we have users who has problem using American format on time.
            This is huge hinder in productivity.

            This is very annoying. We have had to set back to non ISO-standard dates for editing which is very very confusing for our users. Is there a plan for including this? Perhaps now when redoing all reports?

            We ran into the same problem with Cumulative Flow Chart on JIRA Agile 6.3.12, but with a different format: dd.mm.yyyy:

            The same error is displayed also when changing the To date and NOT changing the From date, hence it's also a misleading message.

            The same kind of problem exists in the new Control Chart, described in GHS-10376.
