Hi Everyone,
I'm Ahmud, a product manager working on the issue view in Jira Cloud. Thank you for sharing your votes and comments for this feature request.
I understand how important the dot "." menu is to work more productively and efficiently in Jira. We won't be addressing or adding more functionality to the dot dialog menu in the near term. We are currently working on a new keyboard shortcut experience that will be launched in the near future. I will update this ticket to open so you can continue updating the ticket with your feedback. Once the new experience launches we will update this ticket.
Regards,
Ahmud
Hi everyone,
There’s a minor delay with adding key issue actions to the dot dialog menu in the new issue view, which means it may not be available before we transition you to the new issue view. Don’t worry: this feature is a priority, and we’re working hard to make sure it’s released as fast as possible. In the meantime, some of these actions are available as keyboard shortcuts (from the nav, go to > Keyboard shortcuts), and for now, you can still temporarily click through to the old view to use its dialog menu.
Regards,
Atlassian
If I press Dot "." and type "Epic Link" I don't get to enter the Epic Link.
Most other capabilities within this menu are missing too, including (but not limited to):
- Status transitions
- Add story points
- Log Time
- Move
- Delete
- duplicates
