Summary
Currently on Next-gen Projects, the list of Epics on the Backlog view are sorted based on their IDs.
Meanwhile, Epics are sorted based on priority in the Roadmap view. Because of these 2 different factors, Epics on the Backlog view aren't sorted according to what is shown in the Roadmap which creates confusion.

To really use the roadmap together with the backlog in a proper way it's necessary to order backlog/board based on roadmap. Understand that it takes time to build, but now the Next Gen project is creating a mess and it's difficult to keep it clean which was basically the same issue with the previous version of Jira...

Love to have this feature. Board view on epics is a must, but only workable if the sorting is (at least) in the order of the roadmap...
I expected this to be supported out of the box. Will help a lot to get it.

At this moment the board looks so confusing. It is weird that we can not simply reorder those epics or they just take the same order as in the Roadmap.
