Currently, the fields specified in the Jira Software Cloud emails from notification schemes are very limited and not configurable.  This results in most notifications looking nearly identical, or needing to manually copy/paste the fields' data into the Summary field, for all tickets.  This takes a lot of time and introduces opportunity for errors.

I would like to add fields to the email.  Either the subject, or description, or from fields would be acceptable, but ideally, I would prefer to be able to edit the email format altogether, similar to other Jira products.

Other Jira installations allow adding fields through editing the Velocity templates, which would work for all types of notification emails that you may want to edit, not just the Create Issue notifications.  i.e. Issue Updated.  A ticket for making that process easier are under consideration. -- JRASERVER-7266

On Jira Software Cloud, we are unable to add any additional fields to the emails, easily or otherwise.
