Description
Summary
When adding a user as board admin, if the user key have a colon punctuation ( : ), JIRA will stop to read the user key at the colon punctuation ( : ), showing a error message and saying that the value entered till the colon punctuation ( : ) is not a valid user.
Example:
User key = 557058:3578
Error: 557058 is not a valid user.
Important Note: User key is not the same as User name, they are two different user attributes, the User key is only visible via database.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new user and make sure that this user have a colon punctuation ( : ) on his user key.
- Try to add this user as a board admin.
Expected Results
The user will be added as board admin.
Actual Results
The user is not added as board admin and there is a error message saying XXXX is not a valid user.
Workaround
Use groups instead of single users as the board admin.
