    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

In Jira version 8.15, a new feature is implemented where the rich text editor is now available in the customer portal based on JSDSERVER-1506. However, it is really vague in the Jira 8.15 release notes on which field can have this feature and for now, this would only be applicable to the description/comment field.

Due to that, we would like for the feature for other text/multi-text custom fields to have the rich text editor in the customer portal in the future.

[JSDSERVER-7142] Ability for other text/multi-text custom field to have a wiki style renderer in JSM Customer Portal

This function is absolutely necessary. Why has it only been implemented for descriptions and comments, but not for custom fields? We urgently need the option of formatting our customer request types for our custom fields as well.

I believe portal need to support Wiki Renderer not only for the description and comments, but also custom fields

Agree this needs to be implemented.

            Multi-line wiki rendering is needed.

Atlassian, you have to extend this to multi-line custom fields as well. Description and comments is too limited of a selection of fields to utilize these

Please do this for the portal! It's inconsistent to have this on Jira but not on JSM!

9316d89b1d0c - that doesn't seem to work for the on-premise (Data Center/Server) versions of JSM.

For Cloud, that totally works to enable the rich text controls on the Customer Portal.

Does anyone know why I'm not seeing the wiki renderer for description fields in the service management portal? I have it set on the description but it's not showing up.
