Problem:
At the Service Desk Portal, the list of options from dropdown fields like Components, Priority, Impact, Select list (single value), Select list (multiple choices) is not accessible with a screen reader.
The environment used for the test:
Mac Osx default screen reader
Firefox 76.0.1
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a default IT Service Desk Project area;
- Open a Firefox browser and reach the portal;
- Select <Report a system Problem>;
- Hit <tab> to reach any of the fields "Select a System", "How urgent is this" or "What's the impact".
- Hit <arrow down> to access the list of options.
Expected behavior:
- Screen Reader identifies that this is a selection field and say "Start typing to get a list of possible matches or press down to select." or "Text list, x items";
- Arrow down/up should read each option;
- Enter should select an entry and the reader should say the option selected.
Observed results:
- The screen reader does not read any option while navigating with arrow down/up;
- Start typing does not help, the Screen Reader does not read the available options;
- There is no mention when a value is selected. The user may select an incorrect value by accident.
