Issue Summary
- Jira Service Desk approval notifications are not being sent if certain conditions are met. More in the "Steps to Reproduce" section.
Environment
Jira Service Desk 3.9.3
Steps to Reproduce
- If the approver selection is done during the issue creation step from the portal.
- Set up approval to be first status of workflow.
- Set up approval selection via the approval field (or other custom field) during issue creation.
- Create the issue, and define the approver during creation.
- No approver notifications are received.
- Or, second scenario, where the approver is selected after the issue is created AND before issue creation confirmation email is set.
- Set up approval to be first status of workflow.
- Create the issue, but do not pick the approver yet.
- Define the approver after the issue has been created.
- Two things can happen from here:
- If the "Issue created email" has been sent BEFORE approver is selected, the approver notifications works fine (sent to the approvers).
- If the "Issue created email" has not been queue in mail queue and the approver is selected, then approver notifications cannot be sent (no approver mails queued).
Expected Results
Approver notifications are received.
Actual Results
No approver notifications are received if certain conditions above are met.
Notes
