      Problem Definition

When open a JIRA Service Desk ticket in JIRA, users are currently not able to sort the request types dropdown list alphabetically. It would be great to have this feature available in Service Desk, so that if a customer has a long list of request types, users can easily choose the right request types.

      Suggested Solution

Allow the ability to sort the request types from the dropdown list on view issue page

We also need the automatically sort for our agents.

Completely agree with Trevan. Just had this conversation with a service desk project admin in my company.

The request is to have JSD automatically sort alphabetically - not to give the agent the ability to modify the sort order (which should be a lot easier to implement than to allow the Agent to modify the sort order).

The problem is that there doesn't seem to be any particular sort order (see the image attached here: Customer Request Types - not alphabetized).

            Problem definition:

One example: A request is created via email, and assigned the Issue type: Email Request and the Customer Request Type: Email Request.  The Agent triages the request and updates the Customer Request Type to match what the email request is about.  In doing so, it is difficult to find the correct Customer Request Type because they are not sorted alphabetically.
