Using wrong credentials at portal login causes page to permanently spin

      Summary

      When a user attempts to login at the Server Desk portal with an incorrect username or password, the page spins forever after clicking the 'Log in' button or hitting Enter.

      Environment

      Brand new, base 7.12.1/3.15.1 instance

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Service Desk project
      2. Browse to the portal
        • Attempt to login with an incorrect username
        • Attempt to login with an incorrect password

      Expected Results

      A login failure message of some kind is expected; just like when a login fails with the JIRA UI (login.jsp).

      Actual Results

      The page sits and spins forever.

      The following error is found in the Browser Console output:

      Workaround

      A refresh of the page in the browser will get you back to the portal login prompt.

            No we did not, since I did not know that the problem has been fixed we stopped buying a new license until JSDSERVER-6059 would be fixed.

            This is exactly the same as JSDSERVER-6059.

            We are waiting since weeks that JSDSERVER-6059 gets assigned but the issue already exists here and is already fixed.

            This is a very bad support experience!

            Please merge these issues
