      Normal Missing

      Environment

      • Service Desk 3.8.1 (this version not available in Affects Version/s field)

      Steps to Reproduce

Watch canned.mp4 for a demonstration of this

      1. Click on a transition so the transition screen will appear
      2. Select Text Mode
      3. Close the transition screen when it is in Text Mode
        • The purpose of this is so the transition screen will open with Text Mode
      4. Click on a transition so the transition screen will appear again

      Expected Results

The Canned response icon is visible

      Actual Results

      • The Canned response icon is missing until you click on the Visual tab
      • Once clicked, the icon will remain when you switch between tabs

      Notes

      • Only seems to happen when the transition screen opens with Text Mode. If the screen opens with Visual mode, the icon will be visible

      Workaround

I was able to reproduce this issue in my test lab.

            Jira server 7.8

            Jira Service Desk 3.11.0

            ScriptRunner 5.3.7

When I have scriptrunner enabled I don't see canned responses, BUT when I disable script runner all is good:

            With ScriptRunner:

            Without:

@All: I opened a call with Adaptavist as disabling the ScriptRunner AddOn solved the issue. When disabled the canned response icon is shown in all screens.

We also have issues with the missing icon, JSD 3.9.2

I'm able to reproduce it the following way:

            • View an issue
            • The icon is visible in the comment section, and also the first time a transition screen with comment is opened
            • Cancel the previously opened transition screen
            • Icon has gone in the comment section
            • Icon has gone in all transition screens

The icon appears again, when I view another issue and then go back to the previously one

rs1 I have installed a fresh Data Center JSD 3.11.0 together with JSW 7.8.0 to verify this on linux + postgresql DB, and the icon is there. Could you please add some details on your installation, that is OS, Database, and whether you were installing fresh or upgrading from some version, and whether you are using single node or Data Center?

In our instance the icon is missing in JSD 3.11.0
I checked the dark features: The feature is listed and enabled.

            Please advice.
