      Issue Summary

      In JIRA service desk, it is possible for a user to belong to multiple organizations.

      Can a functionality be added so that when a customer creates an issue from the customer portal, they are required to select an organization the issue is to be shared with rather than doing this after the issue has been created?

      Use Case Scenario

      If a customer is a member of multiple organizations. If he decides to raise an issue and the issue is meant to alert only members of a specific group, there is no way to ensure the customer selects an organization when they create the issue or even after the issue has been created.

      Suggestion

      Add a functionality that allows the project admin to force the selection of the organization field when it is required for the project in question.

            If a customer is a member of an organization(s) it should be mandatory that it is chosen to share with that organization. If a user was given the option to not share, and reasoning is sensitive information, that information should probably not be shared via a ticket ANYWAYS for security best practices.

            To make the situation even worse it is not even possible to create a queue to filter the tickets that are not shared with an organization as saving results in the "is" operator is not supported by the Organizations field, although the preview of the results below the filter settings suggests that it actually is...

            Additionally in the "All unassigned/open" you can add the Organizations field, but cannot sort by it which makes for some nice scrolling and hoping i do not miss action.

            That this ticket here is open since 6 years....ubelieveable. If the service desk would be a free addition to the existing Jira accounts, i would find something like this ok, but it is not...
