      Problem Definition

At the moment, when a request is created, the request will only show the request type icon and would not display the request type name. Without a request name, users tend to confuse to what kind of request type typically when an approval is required.

      Suggested Solution

Add the request name together with the request type icon.

      Why this is important

Avoid confusion on request types required for a user to approve.

[JSDSERVER-4803] Option to display Request Type name in portal request view

Indeed this is one of the requirement to show full text of request type ..

Kindly consider this as an enhancement to look at

+1 This basic information that identifies the ticket should be made available to the customer. Hovering over the icon to reveal the request type is not intuitive enough. Also, having to purchase a plugin to do this simple thing doesnt make any sense.

Jira is good at many things, but it is really inconceivable that things as basic as seeing the type of request are not contemplated. It would be so simple to allow the modification of the display screen of incidents in service desk ... How can it be possible that you need a puglin to do something so basic?

Any update on this Suggestion?  I have also been looking for a way to get the request type name to be visible when the customer is viewing an open request.
