    Description

      How to replicate ?

      • Create two Projects, One should be Service Desk type.
      • Make sure the Default Priority is "Low" from the priorities section
      • Go to the Service Desk project and hide the Priority field from the Field configuration.
      • Create a ticket in Service Desk project
      • Click on "Create linked issue" button and create a ticket to the second project
      • You should see the priority will be set to "Highest" or "Blocker"

What was the expected result ?
The priority should be set to "Low" as the default based on the global setting.

If you show the priority field in the Service Desk project, it will set the priority correctly. Only when you hide the field, JIRA is setting the priority to Highest value for the hidden Priority.

      Workaround :

Create the ticket first in the targeted project then Link using the "Link" section
