      • Labels
      • Linked issues
      • Priority
      • Description
      • Summary

      Suggest Resolution

The options on Edit Issue action should include all the fields configure in Screen, including Labels, Issue Security Level, custom fields and etc.

I'm surprised this is marked as Resolved. Anyone know if there's an open ticket for Server/Data Center for this?

            Ritesh Ranjan,

            This is very good news!

Will you be implementing the change in the cloud hosted Jira? I see JSDCLOUD-4258 is still open.

            Hi folks,

I'm one of the founders here at Code Barrel and we make Automation for Jira. I'm obviously biased, but just wanted to give people following this issue an alternative option - Automation for Jira supports editing pretty much any issue field.  We're big fans of Service Desk and its Automation, but we also wanted to add a bit more power and make automation available to other projects too. For a full feature by feature comparison, you can see https://docs.automationforjira.com/getting-started/automation-vs-servicedesk.html

You can try all this in our free version (which comes with 'Edit issue' with all fields): https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211836/automation-for-jira-server-lite

Shameless plug - if you want more features (in Server) or unlimited executions (in Cloud) you may also want to try out our paid version: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215460/automation-for-Jira

            Cheers,
            Andreas

Our customer would like to edit Organizations.
They're surprised at the fact JSD Automation does not support Organizations which is JSD field!

Is is possible to edit the approvers field with this new plugin as well? This could make my job a whole lot easier if it does!

Hi all - we've just released a free plugin which will solve this problem until it's officially released by Atlassian

I sometimes have a feeling that they don't want to destroy plugins, which are usually needed to make anything more complex (like ScriptRunner for this). Why do you build a feature, make a whole system for it and then limit it to only few fields? Thats non-sense.

            Please add this feature.

The current list of fields that can be edited in this manner leaves a lot to be desired.  We could really benefit from the ability to edit custom fields based on rule criteria.
