    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

As a Service Desk Agent who writes a comment to the customer and misspelled words, i want to prevent that a new mail notification is send to the customer.

Please add a similar check box as i have in Confluence.

There are already feature request for JIRA Core. Because Service Desk use his own comment field (com.atlassian.servicedesk:service-desk-comment-field) it must also be implemented by Service Desk.

I agree,it would be great to have a check box which let you choose if you want to fire a notification or not.

            User case.

I am an editor, when I edit a page, I may generate anywhere from 10 to 40 comments on the same page in several hours. At the moment, I add a red comment in Edit mode. And, I only check the Notify Watcher check box with my last Save.

Instead of red comments, I tried to use the inline comment. The tool is very sleek; however, within less than an hour, the watchers complained by the plethora of notifications theyrecieved.

A simple check box Notify watcher On/Off on the inline comment UI would solve this issue.

I found a few JIRA issues related to problem
