Unable to attach word documents in a way that makes it visible on the customer portal

      Using the exclamation mark wiki syntax for embedding attachments in a comment does not work for all file types.

      We need a way for the service desk team member to be able to attach any file and choose to make it visible to the customer by embedding it in a comment.

      As mentioned in the comments, this is actually not a bug.

      The correct way to attach a non-image file in wiki markup is to use:

      [^worddocname.doc]
