Service Desk Mail Handler fails with error "Value for 'Description' is longer than 32 767 characters"

Using JIRA Service Desk 3.0.9, Postgres DB. Importing mail fails with error "Value for 'Description' is longer than 32 767 characters".

I assume this is because the body of the mail is larger than 32 KB. There is no reply sent to the customer and only indication of problem is buried behind the admin interface (Admin -> Applications -> JIRA Service Desk: Email settings -> View log -> Processing log).

Perhaps best behaviour would be to truncate the value for Description field to acceptable length.
