      Problem Definition

      Create In-App notifications when the JIRA Service Desk Mail queue is congested or failing.

      Suggested Solution

      In JIRA it is possible to raise alerts via In App Notifications, it would be good to have a notification raised for when the Mail queue is failing so that it can be easily brought to the Administrators attention. In particular in situations where customers rely on email as contact method the Administrators need to be aware as soon as possible that incoming mail is failing.

      Workaround

      Manually review the Email Logs for failures.
