      Current Behaviour
      Pressing CTRL+Enter in JIRA Comment field will submit the comment to other users.

      However, in a JIRA Service Desk, an Internal Comment will be added if CTRL+Enter is pressed.

      Requested Behaviour
      Allow user to configure/change the outcome of keyboard shortcut so pressing CTRL+Enter would share with customer instead of adding internal comment.

            So bizarre that "Share with Customer" is highlighted in bright blue indicating to the user that is the recommended action, and then doing the complete opposite of that.

            +1 on this this request as I have inadvertently submitted internal comments due to this keyboard mapping. It makes more sense to me that we communicate more with users instead of internally

            Desperate for this to be progressed please, as an ~8 year Jira Software user with ~1 year JSM and a keyboard shortcut habit, the amount of time I've spent explaining things on a customer destined comment including @mention only for them not to read it until a colleague points out my error is disappointing! Suggestion RE: "Requested Behaviour

            perhaps another alternative is a pop up for "Customer Comment Y/N" where either Y or another CTRL+Enter would post Customer Comment and N or Tab then Enter would post Internal. Begging please!

            I'm not sure why this is set to internal in the first place.  CTRL+ENTER is the default shortcut in so many web apps for performing the default action.  In Service Desk the default send action (ie. the one that is used most often) is sending to the customer.  Setting it to send to internal is not useful.

             

            If you need to setup commands for both customer and internal - imho it should be CTRL+ENTER for customer and SHIFT+CTRL+ENTER for internal.
