    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

Service Desk Collaborators do not have the ability to access the Service Desk Customer Portal to collaborate (add comments and view) on issues

      Suggested Solution

Add the ability for Service Desk Collaborators to use the Service Desk Customer Portal
      or
Redirect the Service Desk Portal link to the internal JIRA URL; for example, instanceurl/servicedesk/agent/ServiceDesk/queues/2/ISSUE-1234 redirects to instanceurl/browse/ISSUE-1234 for Service Desk Collaborators

      Workaround

Service Desk Collaborators can only update issues from Project Pages

the real need is the ability to access the link - not the interface.
It can redirect to or present a link to the "project" screen for the same ticket where collaborator can then add comments
