To Replicate
1- Create custom field
2- Associate it to Service Desk customer portal(JIRA Service Desk Screen for Project XXXX)
3- Set default value for the custom field
4- Add the custom field to Service Desk "Request Type"
Expected Behavior
On customer portal and that particular request, the custom field should appear with default value
Actual Behavior
The custom field is empty on Service Desk Customer portal.

Hi somidi,
This issue is able to reproduce in latest version in production as well (JSD 2.6.0-OD-01, JIRA 6.5-OD-05).
The default value doesn't appear in request creation screen, but it is displayed correctly in the request detail.
I tried with text field, date picker, number field. (and more)
This issue will be kept track it in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-1295 because they would have the same fix.
