Unable to get property 'removeChild' content in IE11

      Summary

      When using the project sidebar in IE11, issue details on the left side are missing from the navigation bar.
      It also causes the issue transition screen to freeze after clicking on the transition.

      Environment

      The only occurs on IE11.

      Steps to Reproduce

      I reproduced this bug on atlassian_jira_6_4_branch (6.4.2). You need to install service desk plugin in order to reproduce it.

      1. Start JIRA instance and install service desk plugin
      2. Create a service desk project and create several issues
      3. Launch IE11
      4. Press F12 to launch F12 - the IE dev toolkit
      5. Click Issues -> Search for issues
      6. Select first issue
      7. Select any other issue
      8. Resume debugger via F8 if it is paused
      9. Notice that the selected issue is successfully selected
      10. Select yet another issue

      Expected Results

      The details of the issue selected in step #7 should be rendered.
      No unhandled exceptions.

      Actual Results

      The details of the issue selected in step #4 is rendered.
      An unhandled exception after step #4: Unable to get property 'removeChild' of undefined or null reference at a j.parentNode.removeChild(j) from batch.js:149:394
      Like in attachment SDP-3 is selected but content for SDP-4 is displayed.

      I'm able to reproduce this issue always but sometimes for whatever reason IE is not showing this error in console, if that happens to you, restart the browser.

      Update 140515: It seems to affect transition returning the same error as well.

      If not able to reproduce try disable reloadable plugin resources (just for jmake).

            This issue is affecting us in a major way in Jira Service Desk. We are using Jira version 6.4.3 and Service Desk version 2.5.2.

            We are unable to work in Issues without either blank screens or browser hangs. I see a lot of tickets about this and linked issues but see very little in the way of progress. I will open another ticket.
