PGP/GPG encryption mechanism can be used to communicate with customers securely.

The ticketing system should be able to have a database of public keys belonging to the customers and then automatically decrypt incoming messages. This way, sending out replies or follow-ups through the ticketing system would be automatically encrypted with the IT side private key.

Please check out our latest release of S/Notify for Jira which comes with inbound decryption support, so encrypted emails can be automatically decrypted and processed to create new issues or add comments to existing issues. Jira Service Desk email channels are supported, too. The new release also supports signing of all outgoing email, thus providing users with the public key for an encrypted reply.

Please check it out and let us know if you need more. We appreciate any feedback!
