Issue Summary
Content Delivery Network (CDN) is available as a native feature on Jira since version 8.3.
See Use a CDN with Atlassian Data Center applications for more information about this feature.
As detailed on User-installed apps health check fails in Data Center when configuring CDN, there could be plugins that may not be compatible with CDN, which may result on problems for end-users.
The Assets plugin is reported as not compatible by the CDN health check feature.
The following versions were tested and confirmed to be affected by the bug: 5.4.29, 5.10.2, 5.12.16, 5.17.5.
The bug has been fixed on JSM 10.0.0
Steps to Reproduce
- Install a vanilla instance of Jira Service Management.
- Go to Administration > System > Content Delivery Network.
Expected Results
The CDN health check reports that "All installed apps are compatible with CDN".
Actual Results
The CDN health check reports that "User-installed apps may not be compatible".
The list shows that Assets plugin (com.riadalabs.jira.plugins.insight) may not be compatible.
Workaround
Although the Assets plugin is listed on the CDN health check, administrators may enable CDN without any impact to the instance.
