Issue Summary

Jira users are unable to narrow down their search in the reporter field as you can only type the first string (usually the first name) and try to narrow down to the last name, the search breaks. This only happens in JSM projects.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open an issue in a Service Management project.
2. Attempt to modify the reporter form an user that the display name contains First and Last names. (Ie: Alana Grant)

Expected Results

As you keep typing, you can narrow down your search and find the specific user that you are looking for.

Actual Results

After you type the first string (usually the first name) and you hit the spacebar, the search stops working. So as soon as you type: Alana G, Alana Grant will disappear from the search.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
