      Issue statement

Search KB articles in customer portal (with Confluence DC integrated) causes duplicate search result entries to be rendered without body text.

      Environment

      • Replicable on Jira Service Management (JSM) Data Center with Confluence Data Center
      • Issue not replicable on JSM 5.10.x.
      • Issue was introduced with the JSM version 5.11.0

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Confluence DC instance (of version 8.5 or above)
      2. Create app links between the JSM & the Confluence DC instances
      3. In one JSM project, enable KB integration against the Confluence DC instance (linking to a new KB space)
      4. Create a few sample articles in the new KB space in Confluence, e.g.
        1. 'Test article 1' with some sample body content
        2. 'Test article 2' with some sample body content
      5. Go to help center page (or portal landing page) of the customer portal
      6. Type 'test' in the search input

      Expected Results

No duplicate search result entry should be rendered.

      Actual Results

Duplicate search result entries are rendered, without body part.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

            good morning,

we have updated our Confluence instance DC to version 8.5.12.
However, we still have duplicates in our searches.
can you check the resolution of this case

            Hello,

we've just tested the searchV2 API by converting it to JSON, and I end up with a duplicate.
On the other hand, in other tests we've realized that if :

            • the search is for a word in the title, I get a duplicate
            • the search is for a word in a label, I get a duplicate
            • the search is for a word present only in the page content I have no duplicates

hope this helps with the analysis

            Sébastien

            Hi

For my case, duplicates also appear on new spaces but only those that are categorized (knowledge_base/documentation/...)
we don't have duplicate results if the space is created without a category.
Changing or removing the category of an existing space does not make the duplicate disappear
