Description
Issue Summary
When a component receives keyboard focus there is a significant change of content on the page (above the user's point of regard) that changes the meaning of the page.
Element Name: Comment on this request field
Location of the element: Comment on this request field
Issue details: While the comment on this request field' receives focus, it got activated and new content appears and the screen reader does not convey that information.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to the "Help Center" and activate it.
- Navigate to the main content and activate any link from the "Get IT Help", "Set up VPN to the office", etc options.
- Complete all the required fields and click on the "Create" button.
- Navigate to "Comment on this request field" input field
- Observe that content gets updated on keyboard focus.
Actual Results
When the "Comment on this request field" form field receives the keyboard focus, the rich editor gets displayed automatically. Although the functionality is easier to understand for sighted users, it is not intuitive for visually impaired users.
Expected Results
- Ensure that the content "Comment on this request field" does not get displayed automatically when it receives the keyboard focus.
- Code the "Comment on this request field" interactive element using <button> element.
- Provide a hidden instruction "Clicking on the following buttons will update the content below." before the buttons in the source code.
- A clear focus indicator should be visible for interactive elements while navigating using the "Tab" key
