      Problem Definition

After the implementation of https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-3334, currently, all the workflow statuses are being shown on the customer portal to filter the requests.
There are some scenarios where customers do not want to show all the statuses to their clients. Just Open/Closed Issues filter was okay for those customers.

      Suggested Solution:

It should be configurable whether you want an Open/Closed filter or want to make all the statuses visible to the clients.

      Why this is important:

There are some statuses in workflow like 'escalated to tier1', 'escalated to tier2', 'checking with internal team', these statuses should not be visible in the filter to clients.

Can we get a status on this one?   3 years is a long wait...

What is the current status to this feature request? We have a major data security issue because we projects for individual customers as well. And now customers can also see these individual projects!

I would recommend, not only having a switch between "all Status" and "only open/close", but also group all status, that are identical.
Our Use case is, that we have 5 portals with the identical Workflow and users don't understand why they would have to choose between those.

I agree with James, it's pretty clear that Jira is not really using its own software or testing it in "real-world" scenarios.  They have been slamming new features into the software that feel sort of half-baked or not well thought out.  I'm not criticizing because we are still huge Jira fans, but our Jira user community is not thrilled with the complexity and the confusion things like this cause.

Calling ANYONE from Atlassian!!!?  Can you please help make this more user-friendly for our portal users?

The fact that this issue has been open for 2 years is unacceptable. The service is clearly BROKEN! Customers cannot logically filter for issues at all. Even selecting "Open Issues" shows all closed tickets.

I agree with Sue, this is just flat out confusing for customers.  They should be able to filter Open / Closed or any of the statuses that you configure to show to the "end customer" in your workflow.

This is confusing to customers since most of the statuses showing aren't even statuses being used in the Service Management project.

To go further, it might be interesting to have the possibility to choose the statuses that you want to appear But that would be the icing on the cake
