Issue Summary
Occasionally emails sent to the default Atlassian-provided email address for an incoming email channel in a Jira Service Desk project will be delivered multiple times and result in duplicate tickets created by the JSD mail handlers. This can be seen from the incoming email logs at project settings > email requests > view log.
Steps to Reproduce
- Send an email to a Jira Service Desk mail handler (default Atlassian-provided address, NOT a custom email channel);
- Check for the incoming email logs.
Expected Results
The email only creates one ticket.
Actual Results
The same email creates duplicated tickets.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround to prevent the duplicate emails being created. Duplicate requests can be deleted.
