Problem Definition
- Currently we are only providing SSO via SAML
- There is a domain verification process where the domain admin needs to update the DNS records or host a verification file on the root directory of their website
- This isn't usually possible/viable when supporting users on external domains(domains owned by other people)
- Therefore SSO is not possible to use IdPs such as Azure B2C in Jira Service Desk
Suggested Solution
- Allow for an SSO solution that is compatible with IdPs such as Azure B2C
- Allow additional SSO options, e.g. SSO via JWT
Why this is important
- Offer more flexibility regarding customer account sign-in options
Workaround
- No known workarounds
- As per Ash Young's message on JSDCLOUD-630:
Quick update to let you know we've release JSM external customer (Portal-only account) SSO for everyone.
