Summary
When the Reporter and Assignee of a Service Desk request are the same Jira user, a valid Jira user with SD Agent permissions, Jira will suppress any Internal Comment notifications for this user.
"Share with customer" comment type works just fine.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a SD project
- Create a request or use an existent
- Change the Assignee and Reporter of the request to be the same user
- Do an internal comment > the notification doesn't work
Expected
The user should receive the notification because he/she is also the Assignee of the issue.
Actual
The user won't receive the notifications for the internal comments. Add yourself as watcher doesn't solve the problem.
Workaround
Use "Share with customer" instead of the internal comment.
Note
Although the symptom is similar to JSDCLOUD-5067, the cause might be different from it.
