NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
Problem Definition
Currently, all Jira Service Desk(JSD) agents are able to indiscriminately add customers to a JSD project. As JSD uses a single customer user base, tracking who is adding which customers is difficult.
Suggested Solution
- Allow JSD administrators to assign "create customer" permissions to users/groups/roles
Why this is important
- Allows JSD administrators more control on how customers are added to a JSD project
- Customer creations can be hard to track as all JSD projects within a given instance use a single user base
Workaround
- No known workarounds
