NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem

The breadcrumb link on top of each request page allows customers to navigate between Help Center page and individual portals. This is not necessary in some of the use cases.

      Suggestion

The breadcrumb feature should be optional.

      Why is it important

      To improve UI experience

We are also looking for a solution for this, as we are using Scroll Viewport as helpcenter and won't link to the internal kb links.

Need this feature so bad. We don't want our clients to see other's portals.

bw-semg added a comment - Had the same issue. Quickfix: navigate to https://MYACCOUNT.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals right side of desktop screen: click "Customize" click "Edit Home Page Layout" go to section "Portals" click the "eye-icon" to hide the specific portal(s) from the homepage now you're good to go

I support this need! I would also like to add that external public customers can submit multiple requests simply by clicking these links from emails they receive from agents working on existing issues resulting in multiple requests from the same customer.

This would be valuable to our organization so that we can link people to a JSM for without having them stumble across the JSM top-level portal.

It is unimaginable that an option to hide the breadcrumb does not currently exist.

We also would like to have the ability or a workaround to remove the breadcrumb so that customers of various service projects cannot back track to the main portal to see all listed portals.

            thanks,

This is a big issue for us as well. Multiple customers. Need the ability to disable breadcrumbs so one customer can not see the main portal with ALL our customer portals listed.

I have the opposite problem. When a customer navigates to a user guide the breadcrumbs are there, but as soon as they click an article to read, the article opens in a new tab and all the breadcrumbs disappear. I have been told that articles have to open in a new tab and that this functionality will not be changing. The issue was brought up to Atlassian and they chose not to fix it. I would rather the customer stay in the same place to easily go back and forth between articles, but as this is not the case, when the article opens in a new tab I still want the user to see the breadcrumbs. I do not understand why they should be completely removed.

Please make navigation path links (also known as breadcrumbs) are not removable in Jira service desk:

It is redundant and nice to be able to remove from this screen:

            Best!

In our use case, we do not want our customers to access the help center or other portals. In the past we did not want them to access the portal home page either, but since request types can now be hidden from the portal, that does not have a high priority anymore.

Our customers should use URLs provided by us to access the request creation form and the list of requests. Otherwise they do not need to be able to browse inside the help center and the different portals of our JIRA instance.

Since the breadcrumb links give the user access to both the help center and therefore other portals, it would be very beneficial for our process, if we would be able to hide the breadcrumb links.
