      Because different people use the same Service Desk it would be nice to display request types based on the current user. A setting per Request type should be sufficient to configure this.

      I found this plugin which offers this functionality. I think this should be a core feature.

            This would be a great feature to implement for Jira ServiceDesk customers. We are launching ServiceDesk for all departments in our company and the ability to manage request types by group or organization would save a lot of portals and ease of use for the tool.
