      Problem Definition

Currently it is not possible to list tickets in the queue to be sorted according to Created Time. It is only possible to sort according to Created Date only.
Or apart from that a column with tittle of Created time is not available. In case user is interested to have such information displayed.

      Suggested Solution

To add a column as Created Time.

I faced this issue right at the start of building my Jira Project, whilst it is not available you can change the standard DD/MM/YYYY format in the global admin settings to display DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM as a workaround by default, But this will change it most places where just Date is required and will display 00:00 by default. If you navigate to System Settings from the settings menu, in the general configuration, select Advanced Settings, then change the Jira date time picker.

Working Settings below as a guide.

            Key Value
            jira.clone.prefix CLONE -
            jira.date.picker.java.format dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm a
            jira.date.picker.javascript.format %e/%b/%y
            jira.date.time.picker.java.format dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm a
            jira.date.time.picker.javascript.format %d/%m/%y %I:%M %p
            jira.issue.actions.order asc
            jira.table.cols.subtasks issuetype, status, assignee, progress
            jira.view.issue.links.sort.order type, status, priority
            jira.comment.collapsing.minimum.hidden 4
            jira.newsletter.tip.delay.days 7

We're working toward our business using Jira for many of their processes that currently live in outlook/email.  This is a core feature to be able to help them sort out what they need.

Please add a date mask / format option to fields, or at least the ability to add a separate field with date mask options. We should be able to have a column with date, date and time, long date, etc.  Most even somewhat modern tools have this baked in (Outlook, Excel, PowerBI, SSRS reports, etc.).

For Jira to get traction and adoption outside of IT users, this kind of thing is expected and required.

This little addition would be great.

A complete and unambiguous ISO formatted (www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html) timestamp displayed prominently on Jira issues would be super helpful. Complete timestamps are essential for matching production support issues to incidents in databases or application logs. Timestamps are also essential for sorting issues in list views.

Needing to scroll down an issue page to 'below the fold', and then hover over the created/updated fields to get timestamp information is a waste of time.

Timestamps would be much appreciated displayed in these locations:

            • At the top right corner of each Jira issue page.
            • In the created column for issue search list views.

            ISO formatted examples:

            YEAR-MONTH-DAY    HOUR:MINUTE:SECOND
            2022-02-28  09:48:12
            2021-10-21  17:04:45

            Thanks!

Yes please. For me it can just be added to the date field. So we don't have to add another column. But that's just me.
