    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Cloud. Using JIRA Service Desk Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

As a helpdesk administrator, I would like to be able to apply hidden fields (such as labels) to a group so that every request type in that group receives the fields.

Having pre-defined ticket types with pre-set metadata is one of the strongest points of Service Desk, however there is no option to apply meta-data across tickets. This means that if we wanted all tickets in the "Procurements" group to get the label "procurement", we'd have to individually add that label to each request type; not a big deal for smaller boards, but as we expand our categories its going to be a lot more of an issue.

Being able to apply either requested, required, or hidden fields to a group and then having them applied to every request type in the group would go a long way to making desk configuration easy.
