Issue Summary
Currently, Collaborator (Non-Licensed User) don't have permission to access the Project Summary page in Jira Service Management projects. However, the user interface still displays a link to the Project Summary in the project navigation/sidebar for these users. When a Collaborator (Non-Licensed User) clicks this link, they are redirected to the “All Work” page instead of receiving a clear message about access restrictions.
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in as a Collaborator (Non-Licensed User).
- Navigate to a Jira Service Management project.
- Observe that the Project Summary link is visible in the project navigation/sidebar.
- Click the Project Summary link.
Expected Results
- The Project Summary link should not be visible to users who don't have access.
OR - Clicking the link should display a clear message indicating that the user does not have permission to view the Project Summary instead of redirecting to a different page.
Actual Results
- The Project Summary link is visible to a Collaborator (Non-Licensed User) without access.
- Clicking the link redirects the user to the “All Work” page, which is confusing and does not explain the lack of access.
Impact:
- Causes confusion for Collaborator (Non-Licensed User).
- Leads to a poor user experience, as users are not informed about why they can't access the Project Summary.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
