Issue Summary
Edit issue action doesn't handle fields with the same names in Additional fields
Steps to Reproduce
- Create two custom fields with the same name and same type in two team-managed projects
- Create a rule to edit the field with the “Edit Issue“ action Additional fields session. See the screenshot for config below.
- Run the rule, the rule will fail with the error message “Additional fields contains invalid field(s) in 'update' or 'fields' section.“
Expected Results
Edit issue action should handle fields with the same names in Additional fields
Actual Results
There is a problem in automation with same name and same type (People) custom fields (Developer) in different Team Managed Projects and getting the error message "Additional fields contain an invalid field(s) in 'update' or 'fields' section."
Workaround
- After changing the name of the custom field from Developer to Developer - AT1, the Automation rule works successfully
- Another Team Managed project with the same name custom field (Developer)and same type (People)

[JSDCLOUD-14151] Edit issue action doesn't handle fields with the same names in Additional fields
I believe this issue is a duplicate of AUTO-161 – Automation fails when it has two fields with the same name/type, showing the error "Found multiple fields with the same name and type:" which has more votes.
I recommend that watchers of this issue vote on and watch the above issue. So that votes aren't split, I believe this ticket should be closed, but I will wait a week before taking any action in case anyone disagrees. Thank you!
