I would like to be able to:

      -Track assets
      -Customize asset fields
      -Get asset reports
      -Map out relationships between assets
      -Print QR Codes

            Hello!

I'll be closing this feature request now given Assets (formally Insight) is a feature available within JSM Premium. That said we are still hard at work on Assets and we are currently focusing on a number of key areas:

            • Integrations and supporting development of integration apps on Marketplace.
            • Increasing the number of objects that are able to be stored and queried.
            • Supporting migrations from Assets in DC.
            • A major UX overhaul that will harmonise Assets with the rest of JSM.

We can't wait for you to see whats coming! As always please reach out to me for any questions for feedback.

            Regards,

            Justin King

Hola , estoy a favor de una gestión de activos, informes y además idealmente que se pueda vincular con Confluence ya que de esta manera sería mas visible revisar los CI desde una planilla vinculados a un sistema de gestión de assets

Fairly new to Jira, and have been given the task of implementing Asset Management, I do like the Insight add on, however you can't get any reporting out of it.
Essentially i'm just wanting a basic report that shows me the Assets assigned to a particular user, so when a user leaves we can double check that we receive everything back.
It can also be used as a checklist for Deployment for a new user.

I see this is a fairly old Ticket... 5 years now... Just adding my vote and hoping for the best.

            Cheers

I would like to vote for asset management too. I need something that includes network device discovery. It seems that no 3rd party product does this. Do you guys know it any of the before mentioned 3rd party AM supports API call in Jira Cloud so we can get data from an external network discovery tool imported automatically?

            Thanks

Let me note that our Better PDF Exporter is another Jira Cloud app that can be helpful in asset management use cases.

It fully supports Insight (object keys, names and attributes) already, and we're open to add support for other Asset Management solutions if there is interest. (We decided to support Insight only for now, because it is a magnitude more popular than other options.)

Although this video was recorded about the Jira Server version of the app, it can give you a quick summary of what to expect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAckVVekyiw

I think Atlassian should mimic the OTRS::ITSM module features for example.
In my opinion, ITIL best practices should be taken into consideration for Jira Service Desk future development.
We would like to replace OTRS with Jira Service Desk but actually we can't for missing features like this one.
Maybe ITIL guidelines should be implemented into Jira even before Service Desk.
