Improve the time it takes to add linked Jira issues to the Assets object view

    • 23
    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Issue Summary

Currently, when you select an object on an Insight custom field, it takes several minutes for it to appear on the Linked issues panel of the object view.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an object schema and an object type, then create an object.
      2. Create an Insight object field and configure it to show objects from the created object type.
      3. Create a request and select the created object in the Assets field.
      4. Open the object view for this object in Insight.

      Expected Results

The Linked Issues panel will be updated quickly with the linked issue information.

      Actual Results

It takes several minutes (up to 20) for the issue to show up on the Linked Issues panel.

      Workaround

You can double-check the existing connected issues by using the iqlfunction() in your Jira advanced search to filter the issues that have a particular object selected in a field.

I'd like to reinforce other comments about this being a severe product defect. Asset managers and engineers need as close to a real-time few as possible into assets experiencing issues.

            Thanks.

I am seeing delays much longer than the reported 20 - 30 minutes. We are talking about days. Being able to see what issues pertain to an asset is really a key point in having assets management integrated with issue tracking. Please consider this problem what it is - a severe product defect.

2 years on and this is still an issue
Up to 20 minute delay in linking an issue to an asset is unacceptable when working with critical issues or any issues for that matter.
Please can we have some movement on this

Please consider changing this to a bug. This delay compromises real-time asset management control for example.

            Thanks

I know this was put in as a suggestion, but I would consider it more of a bug as a 20 minute wait is not very useful when you're working on real-time issues.
