Issue Summary

"Send email" option is not respecting the "Email from" configuration and always sending from username

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set-up outgoing mail server (in ⚙ > System > Outgoing Mail)
2. Test "Send email" option (in ⚙ > System > Send email)

Actual results

Emails are sent using the username in the "From" header, instead of the Full name:

Expected Results

Send email option should respect the Email from configuration which is configured in Jira in the page ⚙ > System > General Configuration 

• by default, it is set to ${fullname} (Jira)

Note

Note that this issue does not occur with Jira notifications (with batching enabled or not) sent from Jira issue updates (field updates, comments, transitions...). The "From" header of Jira notifications is respecting the format ${fullname} (Jira).

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
