    Description

      Problem Definition

      Currently, Jira fetches incoming messages through OAuth 2.0 with IMAP/POP protocol. This functionality requires POP/IMAP on Gmail server side.

      However, the integration does not make it possible to avoid using POP/IMAP altogether and pull emails directly by using Gmail API.

      Suggested Resolution

      Implement integration between Jira and Gmail so that mails can be fetched directly without using POP/IMAP protocols.
