Issue Summary
In the issue details page right-side panel, there's a View on Board link which serves as a quick way for you to see the issue on the board. However, it doesn't work if there are more issues on the board which doesn't fit in a screen as a whole. However, JIRA should be smart enough to locate the highlighted issue, regardless of its position on the board.
PS: This was working in the Jira Versions 7. x.x however it is broken since Jira Version 8. x.x. We notice an FR -JSWSERVER-20045 raised to get the feature but it has worked on v 7. x.x but not on later versions.
Steps to Reproduce
- Access Jira software v 8.20.1 application.
- Ensure that the Issues on the Active Sprint have more in number which doesn't fit in a single screen.
- Go to the Issue view page of any Issue located at the bottom of the Active Sprint Board.
- Click on "View on Board" from the right-side panel of the Issue view page.
- Jira redirects us to the Sprint Board but does not locate the issue card on the board.
Expected Results
JIRA should be smart enough to locate the highlighted issue, regardless of its position on the board.
Actual Results
Jira is not able to locate the issue on the Board.
Workaround
Scroll down the bar to locate the issue highlighted manually.
